Shohei Ohtani, also known as “Showtime” and “The Unicorn,” is a professional baseball pitcher and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Major League Baseball (MLB). However, Shohei Ohtani has been present in the league for eight years from 2018 to 2025, out of which, he represented the Los Angeles Angels from 2018 to 2023. He has been with his present team since 2024. Shohei Ohtani started his baseball career with the Hokkaido-Nippon Ham Fighters of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). His pitching performances earned him the Pacific League’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2016, along with the Eiji Sawamura Award, given to the best pitcher in the league. He was also notable for being the Japan Series Champion in 2016.
