Swindon Town have completed the signing of experienced Brazilian winger Fernando Andrade on a free transfer, with the League Two club confirming the arrival of the former Saudi Pro League player as part of their ambitious summer recruitment drive.

The 33-year-old joins the Robins after becoming available on a free transfer, bringing a wealth of experience from spells across Portugal, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. During his career, Andrade has represented clubs including Porto, Santa Clara, Sivasspor, Çaykur Rizespor and Al Fayha, where he featured in the Saudi Pro League before continuing his career elsewhere.

Swindon manager Ian Holloway believes Andrade’s experience and versatility will add another dimension to the squad ahead of the new League Two campaign. Comfortable on either wing and capable of playing through the middle, the Brazilian is expected to provide creativity, pace and leadership in the final third.

Speaking after completing the move, Andrade said he was excited by the project at Swindon Town.

His experience at Porto and in the Turkish Süper Lig, together with his time at Al Fayha in Saudi Arabia, gives Swindon a player who has competed at a high level.
