Rafael Nadal spearheaded the congratulatory messages to Carlos Alcaraz following the latter’s stunning French Open victory. Nadal, widely regarded as the King of Clay with his record 14 Roland-Garros titles, was joined by other tennis stars in lauding the thrilling match on Sunday.
Alcaraz achieved an epic comeback from being two sets down against world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who had not dropped a single set in the tournament prior to that. The young Spaniard triumphed in a nerve-wracking contest that featured tiebreaks in the fourth and fifth sets.

Women’s champion Coco Gauff also shared her admiration, referencing the China Open last October where she and Alcaraz both emerged victorious. “We had to run Beijing back for the one time!” she exclaimed.
