“[Defense] is my biggest concern I have right now,” Beamer said. “I knew that we were gonna be better in 2024 because of our leadership, particularly on our defense. My biggest concern as we go into 2025 is replacing that leadership.”
The Gamecocks are set to commence the season without key defensive figures such as TJ Sanders, Nick Emmanwori, Tonka Hemingway, Kyle Kennard, and Demetrius Knight. These players were not only instrumental on the field but also served as leaders in the locker room, setting standards and guiding younger teammates.
