The golf world is buzzing with excitement as Nelly Korda, one of the LPGA’s brightest stars, hosts her 2nd annual Nelly Invitational at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida.

Nelly will not be available at Chevron

Running from May 1-4, 2025, this prestigious event is more than just a tournament—it’s a platform for the next generation of women golfers to shine, bringing together talented juniors aged 12-19 under the banner of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).

A Tournament with a Purpose

The Nelly Invitational, presented by Chevron, is a 54-hole stroke play event featuring a field of 66 girls, all competing on the challenging layout of The Concession Golf Club.

With a slope and rating of 78.2/150 for the girls’ division, the course promises to test the skills of these young athletes while offering them a taste of professional-level competition.

But the event’s significance goes far beyond the scorecard. Backed by Chevron, the tournament offers a coveted exemption to The Chevron Championship, an LPGA major, providing a life-changing opportunity for the winner to compete alongside the world’s best.

Nelly Korda, who isn’t playing this week to focus on her role as host, has a deep connection to this event. It’s a full-circle moment for the World No. 1, who herself rose through the junior ranks to become a dominant force in professional golf.

In 2024, Korda won six of her seven starts, including the Mizuho Americas Open—an event that also holds a special place in this story.

Her success at that tournament, which pairs LPGA pros with AJGA juniors, underscores her commitment to inspiring the next generation.
