Lasse Nordås monitored by Legia, but Heerenveen leads the race…
Legia Warszawa has expressed interest in Lasse Nordås, the 23‑year‑old Norwegian striker currently under contract with Luton Town, but fresh reports from Norway indicate that SC Heerenveen is now the frontrunner to secure his signature.
Legia back in the hunt
According to Norwegian outlet TV2, Legia has once again placed Nordås on its shortlist as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options. The Warsaw side has struggled for consistent output from its forwards this season, prompting renewed efforts to bring in a striker capable of fitting coach Marek Papszun’s system.
Nordås has been on Legia’s radar before. Papszun reportedly admired the player during his time at Raków Częstochowa, when Nordås was still performing in Norway for Tromsø IL.
Heerenveen pushing ahead
Despite Legia’s interest, multiple reports suggest that Heerenveen is currently closest to finalizing a deal. The Dutch club is negotiating a loan move with Luton Town, and Nordås is said to be leaning toward the Eredivisie option, which may offer more consistent playing time and a clearer development path.
Nordås’ situation at Luton
Nordås joined Luton Town in 2025 for a fee exceeding €3 million, a record for Tromsø at the time. His spell in England has been challenging, with limited minutes and modest output—4 goals and 3 assists this season across all competitions. Luton is reportedly open to a loan move to help the striker regain form and confidence.
What this means for Legia
Legia remains active in the market and is expected to continue searching for a striker even if Nordås chooses the Netherlands. With Jean‑Pierre Nsame injured and other forwards struggling to deliver, the club is under pressure to reinforce its attack before the window closes.
