After tying for second at the 80th U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally at Erin Hills Golf Course, Nelly Korda maintained her position at the top of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings and has reached 100 career weeks as world No. 1.

She joins Jin Young Ko (163), Lorena Ochoa (158), Lydia Ko (125), Yani Tseng (109) and Inbee Park (106) as the sixth player to surpass 100 weeks and is the first American to accomplish the feat.

Korda first became Rolex Rankings No. 1 on June 28, 2021, ironically the same day that Cristie Kerr became the first American to ascend to the top of the world rankings back in 2010. She has reached the No. 1 ranking six times throughout her career, most recently doing so last year on March 25, 2024, after winning the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship at Palos Verdes Golf Club in California.

Korda is a 15-time LPGA Tour winner, two-time major champion and an Olympic gold medalist, taking home the gold in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics. The 26-year-old collected seven victories in 2024, which helped her to earn Rolex Player of the Year honors, and she also won the 2024 Rolex ANNIKA Major Award for her season-long performance in the Tour’s five major championships last year.

She joined Kathy Whitworth, Nancy Lopez and Beth Daniel as the only Americans to have won seven or more titles in a single season since 1970, and five of her victories came consecutively at the LPGA Drive On Championship, FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass, T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards and The Chevron Championship, which tied Lopez and Annika Sorenstam for most wins in consecutive starts since 1978.

Korda has competed on four U.S. Solheim Cup Teams, most recently doing so in 2024 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, where she helped lead the Americans to their first win in the biennial team competition since 2017.

She has played in eight LPGA Tour events this season and has collected three top-five results at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions (2), the Mizuho Americas Open (T5) and the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally at Erin Hills (T2). Korda also tied for seventh at the Founders Cup presented by U.S. Virgin Islands in her home city of Bradenton, Fla., and remains in search of her first LPGA Tour victory since the 2024 ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican.
