Report: The Avs Rookie Left Wing Return date is now getting more closer
You never want to lose anyone to injury, but the Colorado Avalanche were able to overcome a few and make it past round one on Tuesday night.
Could they get some of the calvary in round two? It sounds possible.

Jonathan Drouin, who has been around the team and has been walking with a very noticeable limp, told the French media that he suffered a deep skate cut to his lower thigh and thinks he could return near the end of the second round or start of the third round.
After closing things out against the Winnipeg Jets, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar gave a more detailed update than I would have expected when asked if Drouin could return during the second round.
Avalanche’s Jared Bednar gives Jonathan Drouin update

On Tuesday, the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Winnipeg Jets 6-3, a huge victory. They have now officially won the series and will play the Vegas Golden Knights or the Dallas Stars in the second round.
Given that the Stars and Golden Knights are now locked in the series at 2-2, the Avalanche may have to wait a while to play in the second round. They will therefore be getting some rest, but they still need to be alert.
With the second round coming up, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar was asked about Jonathan Drouin’s potential availability for the series. The 29-year-old forward, of course, missed the entirety of the first round due to a lower-body injury.
Regarding the possibility that Drouin might make a comeback at some point in the second round, Bednar stated as follows: “It fits the timeline.” He hasn’t yet broken through the ice, so he still has a ways to go. He continues to work on his recovery. There was not more than four weeks to go. We continue to hope for it. He’s getting better. We’ll see how much time we have and how long that other series lasts.
It would be massive if the Avalanche got Drouin back during the next series. The 2013 first-round pick had a magnificent regular season for the Avs, posting 19 goals and a career-high 56 points in 79 games.
While Drouin still has plenty of work to do, it is good to hear that he could return at some point in Round 2.
